In Edmonton, countless individuals and families are finding new ways to support their community and the planet while decluttering their homes. One of the most impactful ways to make a difference is through mindful donations of pre-loved items. Organizations like More Than a Fad make it easy for Edmontonians to turn their gently used belongings into hope for others. Let’s explore how you can donate with purpose and support our incredible mission.

Why Donating Matters

Decluttering your home doesn’t just impact your life and home by creating a more organized space—it can also impact the lives of others in your community. When you donate items, you no longer need to More Than a Fad, you:

  • Support Adeara Recovery Centre: More Than a Fad exists to help break the cycle of addiction for women by raising funds and awareness for Adeara Recovery Centre—a long term addiction recovery program for women and their children in Edmonton. All profits directly support Adeara’s programming.
  • Reduce Waste: By giving your items a second life, you not only help reduce the 92 million tonnes of annual textile waste, but you also reduce the environmental impact of fast fashion and contribute to a more sustainable future.
  • Empower Your Community: Donations provide affordable options for individuals who may not be able to shop at regular retail chains in Edmonton, while also funding Adeara’s addiction recovery program.

What to Donate

To ensure your donations have the greatest impact, focusing on quality is key. Before donating your items, ensure that each piece has no stains, tears, or odors. Here are some items that we accept at More Than a Fad. To view the complete list of items we accept, please visit morethanafad.ca/donate
