At More Than a Fad, thrifting already feels like a treasure hunt, but we’re turning up the excitement! We’re launching a brand new in-store campaign called Thrift on Us, a monthly thrift store giveaway where your donation could turn into a 1-minute free thrifting experience.
The bonus: every dollar donated supports Adeara Recovery Centre, helping women build new lives in recovery here in Edmonton.
How the Thrift on Us Giveaway Works
Participating in Thrift on Us is simple and happens right in-store.
- Donate $5 at the front till
Donations can be made whether you’re shopping or just stopping by. - Receive one entry for every $5 donated
The more you donate, the more chances you have to win. - Fill out a ballot with your contact information
Ballots are available at the front till. - At the end of the month, one winner is drawn
If your name is drawn, you’ll be contacted and a time will be scheduled within the following week for your 1-minute thrifting experience. Entries do not roll over month-to-month, so donating again next month means another chance to win.
The 1-Minute Thrift Challenge
Imagine having 60 seconds to thrift for free. When the clock starts, the winner can move through the clothing racks and grab anything they can fit in their cart before time runs out.

Items not included:
- Hard goods and housewares
- Furniture
- Jewelry
- Items in the front showcase displays
This keeps the challenge fast, fun, and focused on the thrill of thrifting the racks. Every second counts, whether you’re racing for vintage denim, cozy sweaters, or statement pieces.
Supporting Adeara Recovery Centre
While Thrift on Us adds a little extra excitement to thrifting, the heart of the campaign is the impact it creates.
All donations from the campaign go directly to Adeara Recovery Centre, a long-term recovery program for women overcoming addiction. Adeara helps women and their children rebuild their lives through recovery, stability, and community support.
By donating, you’re helping provide meaningful support for women on their recovery journey.
