Do you take second-hand donations?

Yes! We accept clean, gently used items in sellable condition during our donation hours. This means no stains, odours, excessive wear, or damage. Items may be declined if they do not meet our donation guidelines.

You can drop off your donations at the store on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 10AM and 4PM and Saturdays between 10AM and 3PM.

Please do not dump items outside after hours as they cannot be sold.

What items do you not accept as donations and why?

We receive a high volume of donations and must be selective to ensure items are safe, clean, and sellable.

This helps us:

  • Maximize the impact of every item sold
  • Reduce waste
  • Make the best use of our space and resources

Common items we do not accept include:

  • Mattresses and box springs
  • File cabinets
  • Outdated technology
  • Broken or partially assembled items

Do you pick up donations?

Yes! More Than a Fad will pick up furniture donations only for FREE within Edmonton city limits. A $100 fee applies to surrounding areas. Request a furniture pick-up here.

We accept furniture in excellent condition only. All items must meet our donation guidelines and may be refused upon arrival.

Please note that due to safety, More Than a Fad staff and volunteers are unable to move items up and down stairs or disassemble furniture.

Do you deliver furniture items?

Yes! More Than a Fad can deliver furniture to your home within Edmonton city limits for an additional charge of $75. Any pick-ups or deliveries outside of the city limits are $100.

Please note that due to safety, More Than a Fad staff and volunteers are unable to move items up and down stairs. Please provide your own assistance.

Do you accept returns?

All sales at More Than a Fad are final as per our return policy, with the exception of household and cosmetic appliances. This includes in-store, pop-up, and e-transfer purchases through social media.

Appliances may be exchanged within 7 days of purchase with a receipt. Items must be returned in the same condition. Please test items before leaving the store when possible.

Are electronic items tested before being sold?

Yes. All electronics and appliances are tested before being placed on the sales floor and will have a “Tested” sticker.

What day do you restock?

We restock daily as new donations are processed and prepared for the floor.

Where does the money go?

All proceeds from More Than a Fad support women and their children in recovery at Adeara Recovery Centre.

Your purchases and donations directly contribute to life-changing recovery programs and support services in your community. Thank you!

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, you can buy a physical gift card in-store for any amount. Ask your cashier for more details!

Can I volunteer at the store?

Yes! We’d love to have you involved.
