More Than a Fad Thrift Store continues to put out great thrifting finds because of you! Be a part of the sustainability movement and give your pre-loved items to our store on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 10AM and 4PM and Saturdays between 10AM and 3PM. Kindly note donations may be declined if they do not meet our guidelines outlined below.
Please note at this time we have suspended furniture pick-ups until August 5. Thank you for your understanding.
How to Donate
- Check our handy list below of what donations we do and do not accept.
- Bring all donations to the back door of 6936 68 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 3C5 on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 10AM–4PM and Saturday from 10AM–3PM.
Please do not leave your items outside our donation bay when donation hours are closed. We cannot use them if they have been left outside.
Donation Guidelines
First and foremost, please see our donation drop-down lists below and make sure you are only donating items accepted by More Than a Fad.
✓ We do not accept anything broken, soiled, stained or torn. Items must be in great working condition.
✓ Please wash your clothing before donating it! No pet hair, dirty garments, etc. We do not have the means to wash donated clothes in our warehouse.
✓ Please pre-sort your items.
For safety and space reasons, there are some items we cannot accept. These guidelines help keep our team safe and follow government guidelines. Since our warehouse is limited in space, we cannot take in oversized items as we don’t have the room to store them properly.
Furniture Pick-Ups
At this time, we are at full capacity and are unable to schedule furniture pick-ups. Furniture pick-up services will be temporarily suspended until August 5, 2026.
We will continue to accept furniture donations delivered directly to the store during our donation hours. Please note that all donated items must meet our donation guidelines, and we reserve the right to decline items that do not meet our quality and safety standards.

- Dictionaries, encyclopedias, cassettes, VHS’s
- Large toys (13” x 13” or bigger)
- No battery operated toys
Electronics
- Desktop computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, computer software
- TVs
- Printers, printer cartridges
- Outdated tech: speakers, stereos, flip/house phones, routers, remotes, radios, headphones, etc.
- Cords: Ethernet, old chargers, wires, 2-prong extension cords, other outdated cords
Furniture
- Broken, partially assembled furniture, pieces of furniture, unfinished up-cycled furniture projects
- Valances, entertainment units, TV stands, china cabinets
- Blinds, ceiling fans, light fixtures (unless antique)

- Opened packages of single-use products (eg. an opened box of diapers with half the diapers gone)
- Vehicle parts or accessories (car seat covers, tires, hubcaps, car parts, mats)
- Weapons of any kind
- Cleaning supplies (unless sealed)
- Bio-hazardous materials (motor oil, acids, paint, industrial cleaning products)
- Health aids (wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, walkers, bath chairs, bed rails, aircast boots)
