More Than a Fad Thrift Store continues to put out great thrifting finds because of you! Be a part of the sustainability movement and give your pre-loved items to our store on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 10AM and 4PM.
Have furniture to donate? Request a pick-up by calling the store or sending us an email! Please note we only do pick-ups for furniture at this time.
How to Donate
Before you drop off your items, please check our handy list below of what donations we do and do not accept. Please bring all donations to the back door of 6936 68 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 3C5 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10AM–4PM.
Please do not leave your items outside our donation bay when donation hours are closed. We cannot use them if they have been left outside.
Donation Guidelines
First and foremost, please see our donation drop-down lists below and make sure you are only donating items accepted by More Than a Fad.
✓ We do not accept anything broken, soiled, stained or torn. Items must be in great working condition.
✓ Please wash your clothing before donating it! No pet hair, dirty garments, etc. We do not have the means to wash donated clothes in our warehouse.
✓ Please pre-sort your items.
For safety and space reasons, there are some items we cannot accept. These guidelines help keep our team safe and follow government guidelines. Since our warehouse is limited in space, we cannot take in oversized items as we don’t have the room to store them properly.
Furniture Pick-Ups
Pick-ups are free within Edmonton city limits. A $100 pick-up fee applies to surrounding areas (St. Albert, Leduc, Fort Sask, Spruce Grove, etc.).
We only do pick-ups for furniture that is in excellent condition (no stains, rips or odours). Housewares and clothing are not eligible unless approved by a manager.
For safety reasons, our volunteers cannot carry items up or down stairs or disassemble furniture, and our trucking team has the right to refuse any item that doesn’t meet our donation guidelines.

- Dictionaries, encyclopedias, cassettes, VHS’s
- Large toys (13” x 13” or bigger)
- No battery operated toys
Electronics
- Desktop computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, computer software
- TVs
- Printers, printer cartridges
- Outdated tech: speakers, stereos, flip/house phones, routers, remotes, radios, clocks, wired earbuds, etc.
- Cords: Ethernet, old chargers, wires, 2-prong extension cords, other outdated cords
Furniture
- Broken, partially assembled furniture, pieces of furniture, unfinished up-cycled furniture projects
- Valances, entertainment units, TV stands, china cabinets
- Blinds, ceiling fans, light fixtures (unless antique)

- Vehicle parts or accessories (car seat covers, tires, hubcaps, car parts, mats)

- Cleaning supplies (unless sealed)
- Biohazardous materials (motor oil, acids, paint, industrial cleaning products)
